1. What kind of a warranty does the American Standard brand carry?
A) All of the American Standard HVAC equipment carries a minimum 10 year registered warranty on all parts. Select models with a higher efficiency rating can include 12 and 20 year warranties on certain parts, and lifetime limited warranty on select heat chambers.
2. Are the warranties transferrable?
A) All warranties are registered online by Boyd Heating and Air’s office manager to the current homeowner and address. Warranties are not transferrable to a future address/homeowner.
3. What kind of system is right for me and my family?
A) Determining which system is right for you may differ from what works for your neighbor, or family member. Knowing that everyone’s lifestyle is different and the way of living varies from home to home allows one of our trained in-home consultants to understand the needs and wants of each individual. 4. Would I be better off just fixing my old system, or going ahead and replacing it?
A) If your system is 8 years old or older chances are that it has a SEER rating of 10 or below. With (SEER) meaning Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio the higher the SEER rating the better. Starting January 1, 2015 the minimum SEER rating available to consumers will be 14. Although the initial cost of simply fixing the old equipment may be drastically lower, the cost of replacing it with a high efficient American Standard Comfort System will actually pay for itself within a few years. You could attain up to a 70% energy savings on select models by going ahead and replacing your system.
5. Does your company (Boyd Heating and Air) provide service, and installation?
A) Our company strives hard to provide the best performance and complete customer satisfaction on every job whether it be service, or a residential or small commercial installation.
6. Are preventative maintenance programs available?
A) We offer three separate programs that vary from a 3,5, or 7 year plan that includes two worry-free services each year. These programs can be purchased at any time before, during or after an installation or scheduled service.
7. My family and I have severe allergies. Is there anything that we could do to prevent or control our symptoms?
A) American Standard offers an Accuclean Home Filtration System that is the best in the industry. The patented Accuclean filtration works up to 100 times better than standard 1 inch filters and up to 8 times better than even HEPA filtration.
