Boyd Heating & Air was started in 1983 under the ownership of Joey Boyd. Joey is one of thirteen siblings learning at an early age that hard work pays off. After excelling solely on residential installation systems, Boyd Heating & Air now specializes in HVAC sales and service for both residential and commercial residences. Joey and his wife, Kathy, have been married for over 30 years and have been serving Sumner and surrounding counties for over three decades. Married in 1979, Joey and Kathy have three kids (Kathy Jo, Darek, and Tabitha) along with three grandchildren. Both proudly supportive of their community and highly involved in their local church, Joey and Kathy incorporate their family-oriented values to their business. Being a licensed HVAC contactor as well as a licensed electrician and general contractor, Joey and Kathy work together in serving your family’s every need and value the present and future relationships built with each individual encountered through their business.
Darek Boyd was born in 1984 as the middle child between two sisters. A 2002 graduate from Portland High School, Darek Boyd went on to Campbellsville University on a football scholarship where he excelled on and off the field. After earning All-Conference and MVP honors at the university, Darek moved on to take part in the family business while finishing his Accounting degree in December of 2012 at Middle Tennessee State University. With over ten years of professional field experience in the industry and a licensed general contractor, he continues his education in the HVAC field by attending numerous training seminars and meetings each year. In September 2014, after completing his home, he married Lauren Boyd, a practicing Dental Hygienist.
David Clemmons is a long-time residing member of the Boyd Heating and Air family becoming a cornerstone to the values and beliefs that are upheld. David was hired in April of 1998 bringing his professional skills and experience necessary in making sure the service sector is second to none. David is a Portland native who was a 1977 graduate from Portland High School. He went on to further his education at the University of Tennessee and then to Volunteer State Community College where he graduated in 1979 with a degree in Social Science. David was married in 1978 to Vicky Clemmons and has been a providing husband for over 35 years. They are blessed with three children (Matt, James, and Sam) and have one grandson. David and Vicky are proudly supportive of their community and are highly involved with their local church. As a NATE certified technician, David has over twenty-five years of professional full-time experience in the HVAC industry.
